Growing up in West Germany, Axel aka DJ Walking Tree started listening to electronic music in the middle of the 80s when Techno was born.

In the early 90s he found his love for psychedelic trance.

Enjoying many different styles of electronic music made it necessary for him to collect a wide range of different musical landscapes, giving him a decisive and visible start to his djing in the chill-out areas of psytrance-festivals.

From the beginning of the 21st century, Axel experimented initially with progressive house and trance and even some tech- and deephouse, but was later to return to his greatest love of the psychedelic trance sound. His large and varied music-collection gives him the versality to still please the different tastes of a wider audience.

Since 2010 he is living on the beautiful island of La Gomera in the Canary Islands, where he is an active memeber of the La-Gomera-Overground-Team which organises twice a year the Pan-O-Rama-Festival.

Axel is also founder of the party-label “Psyrates of the Canarians” which creates smaller scale happenings on La Gomera during the winter-season.
